Before proceeding make sure you:
- Have had a look at the wealth of knowledge pertaining to this update
from the
home of which this patch was born

Backup your data on your iPAQ to your computer via ActiveSync
- Remove any SD card in the unit
- Rebooted your computer
Now if you've done all that then proceed...if not I really can not stress
enough that you do the above steps.
Please be advised, after you install this ROM your unit will be a 6365. It
will not have any T-Mobile customizations. Also note you will need to go to
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/HandheldiPAQ/us/locate/105_6136.html
to get any new updates that have been published AFTER June 1, 2005.
- Download the
Set V
ROM
- Unzip/Extract it using your unzip program (i.e.
WinRAR,
WinZip,
7zip, etc...)
- Place the h6315 in boot loader mode. (This
can be done by pressing the mail & contacts buttons and push the soft reset
button. Wait for the Screen to come up and if the bottom right corner reads
BL then you can release the mail & contacts button as the unit is now in
boot loader mode. Ergo BL)
- Double click on the hpRUU.exe to run the program
- View the Readme and if you wish to proceed Agree to
the Terms and Conditions
- Click Next
- Click Next again to flash the device with the new
ROM
- Sit back relax and grab yourself something to drink
while it handles its business.
